My word count as right now is 1945. That's yesterday's writing only as I haven't written today at all.

NaNoWriMo: Before November

I am was all signed up at the National Novel Writing Month Site site. I was planning to create a new blog where I keep my surrogacy blog & my password protected personal blog to keep my 2008 attempt safe.
I type and save to my usual thumb-drive (or my AlphaSmart if I'm working low tech somewhere wierd that I don't want to bring my laptop) but thumb drives are too portable to be safe. They get lost or go through the laundry or they just die. So I backup on CD too. And to be extra safe, I like to use the internet as a place to share and also archive.
LiveJournal is supporting NaNoWriMo this year. So i decided to give LiveJournal a try...though it's the first time I've used it. If it's good, I may get a paid account and switch over from my paid blog account. We'll see.
Anyway. I've done NaNoWriMo 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. I've only won once, 2005. The 2005 story was edited in early 2006, split into 3 shorter stories (around 25,000 wrds each) and eventually finished. I even posted it online for people to read. Their pushing encouraged em to finish it. thsi years story has a vague framework and a few characters and we'll jsut cross our fingers.
Good Luck to all of the NaNo'ers out there this year!
